Two boys accused of recent vandalism
Two boys were arrested Wednesday in connection with 12 cases of vandalism, including damage done to churches, an elementary school and several homes.
Joshua Jacobia, 14, 1204 Quincy, and a 13-year-old boy, who was not named by police because of his age, are accused of breaking windows, spray painting buildings and causing other damage at various locations in central Salina between Jan. 5 and Tuesday, said Lt. Scott Siemsen, criminal investigation commander with the Salina Police Department.
Siemsen said the boys are accused of uprooting a wooden cross, shattering a window and cracking a stained glass window at First Baptist Church, 843 Lewis, and spray painting graffiti on Heusner Elementary School, 1300 Norton, on Tuesday.
The boys are accused of causing several thousand dollars in total damage, he said.
