Driver's defense for stolen truck: Lock It or Lose It

By the Salina Journal

A Great Bend man who was being arrested for allegedly driving under the influence early Friday had an amusing comeback when Salina police told him the vehicle he was driving had been reported stolen.
"It’s like Click It or Ticket," Trevor Moreno, 28, allegedly told police. "Lock It or Lose It."
Salina Deputy Police Chief Carson Mansfield quoted Moreno at a media briefing Friday.
Lt. Scott Siemsen, criminal investigation commander with the department, said a passer-by called to report that a 4-wheel-drive pickup truck was stuck in a median on Ninth Street near the Interstate Highway 70 entrance. The caller said the driver appeared to be intoxicated, Siemsen said.
