McPHERSON -- Donald J. "Don" Melland, 85, died Sunday, March 14, 2010. Survivors: children, Patricia Cleeves (David), Molly Kallenbach, Thomas (Suzanne), Fred (Debbie), Andrew and James; a sister; a brother; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Preceded in death: wife, Betty; sons, John and Joseph; and two brothers. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, McPherson, with family present from 6 to 7 p.m. and a rosary said at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian burial: 2 p.m. Thursday, March 18, at the church. Memorials: church or Hospice & Home Care of Reno County Hospice House, in care of Glidden-Ediger Funeral Home, McPherson.
