ABILENE - Gerald D. "Jerry" Copenhaver, 61, died Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012. He was born Dec. 14, 1950, to Kenneth and Doris (Monroe) Sims. He was preceded by his parents; and a brother, John. He is survived by his wife, Debbie; daughter, Tabetha (John) Wenger; son, Tracy (Allison); three grandchildren; sister, Patty Talley; and brother, Rick Copenhaver. The family will receive friends from 5-6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, at Danner Funeral Home, Abilene. The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Abilene First Presbyterian Church. Memorials may be made to Jerry Copenhaver Memorial Fund, and may be left at the church the day of service or at the funeral home.
