SAN ANTONIO -- Louella Joy Mayes, of San Antonio, entered into eternal rest on Friday, Jan. 27, 2012, at the age of 76. She was born June 17, 1935, in Herington to Henry Ernst Wilhelm and Anna Louise Barre Brockmeier. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe A. Mayes; parents; sister, Erma Mills; and brothers, Milton and Herbert Brockmeier. Louella is survived by her daughters, Debra Mayes, Jody Garcia and Elizabeth (Michael) Wergin; seven grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a sister, Frieda Farrar; a brother-in-law, Wayne Mills; and numerous nieces and nephews. Chapel services were at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 3, at Roselawn Mortuary, Salina. Interment immediately followed in Roselawn Cemetery.
